GEORGE - A big huggable guy

Say hello to George, the perfect gentle giant.  This St. Bernard is all about love, patience and big hugs.  Get ready to fall in love with his calm demeanor and huge heart.

George is a great family dog.  He loves his people and getting big cuddles.  He is kind and easy going and enjoys participating in family adventures.  He would much rather be included than to stay home alone but if he can’t go too,  he is happy to lounge around waiting for his people to return.  He has a tolerant and patient manner that makes him good with kids.  Little ones might be a bit overwhelmed at his size but he is gentle with them.  He also has a natural protective side toward his family members and would look after them if there was a real threat to their safety.  Luckily, he seems to know the difference between fun and danger.

At the dog park he is very happy and playful.  He loves to run around wagging his tail. But, he needs space to adjust to new dogs before he feels really comfortable.  He can be standoffish and a little reactive if he thinks new dogs are being too pushy or if he feels a little overwhelmed.  He likes some time and space to get comfortable!  He usually warms up quite quickly and gets right into the fun!  He is good on leash but will pull a bit if something piques his interest.  Thats the time to hold on tight.

At home he loves to chill and hang out with his family.  If his people want to stay at home he’s content to hang out with them. No pressure from George to get moving quickly.  He enjoys his walks and play times at the dog park but he loves to come home and get comfy in the house.  He happily waits for his family to come home from work each day and can be depended on not to do any damage when he is home alone.  He will bark tho if he hears unusual noises or anything that threatens the security of his home.

George is a sweet soul looking for a loving family who adores big dogs.  He is ready to  share a lifetime of love and cuddles!  Are you?
