CHEWY

CHEWY

Chewy is a healthy Great Pyrenees who lives up to the reputation of the breed as being a gentle giant. He is confident, protective and great with people, including strangers. Even workmen visiting the home adore Chewy and report on his docile presence.

Chewy is easy-going with dogs both big and small and brings a steady , patient approach to his interactions.

He is a big, confident fellow and is generally aloof with other dogs, although he is intolerant of aggression.

Chewy has also been raised with a cat and has a successful history of living harmoniously with a feline although, as with all dogs, patient gradual introductions will be required.

Chewy is always up for an adventure and loves to be included in family activities. He is eager for the chance for a car ride and once he has arrived can be directed on the leash and is also trustworthy off leash within the confines of a dog park.

Inside the house, he is an affectionate lad who calms to the touch. He likes to be petted and seeks out cuddles with a nose bump to encourage a loving touch. He takes food very gently and delights in the attention of his family.

This calm, gentle spirit has no known fears and moderate exercise needs. That said, he would thrive best with the option of enjoying some outdoor time in a big, fenced backyard or on an acreage.

Great Pyrenees are known to be Guardian dogs. This role requires patience, independence, kindness, and courage as they defend their vulnerable flock against predators. Chewy is possessed of these hallmark qualities and has been raised with chickens, horses and other farm animals successfully demonstrating a low prey drive.

Chewy has been trained and responds to the basic commands- sit, No, Come, lay down. He is 7 years old and 130 lbs of love.

Chewy is hoping to find a forever home with a warm, attentive, forever family who would relish time spent in his company.
